Screen print is where the company started in the early 1980's and remains a highly skilled area. Even though it is old technology there remains a few areas where screen print is still the best process. If the print is in a particularly harsh environment i.e oil rig ,bar top display's, industrial machine print, then screen printed ink that is solvent based and post stoved, provides the toughest print. This type of extra tough print on metal is also used for industrial control panels for factory machines and such like. Screen print is also the best choice for complex shaped metal panels that are drape formed meaning the printed surface is not flat but angled requiring custom jigs to prepare the print surface.
For large runs into the thousands involving one or two colours onto flat substrate, screen print might also still be cost effective depending upon specifications. Also worth a mention is that screen print still has the edge when wanting to print a true silver, as there is metallic content within the screenprint process unlike digital print inks. Combining screen print and digital print could achieve the best of both technologies where required.
